- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 can crushed tomatoes
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 250 g rigatoni
- 1/2 cup parmesan
- 1 handful basil

Warm the olive oil in a large skillet, then cook the garlic until fragrant without letting it brown.
Stir in the tomato paste and crushed tomatoes, letting the paste darken slightly so the sauce tastes deeper and sweeter.
Add cream and a splash of water, then simmer the mixture until it loosens into a silky sauce.
Cook the pasta until just shy of al dente, transfer it into the skillet, and finish it directly in the sauce.
Fold in parmesan and basil, then rest the pasta for a minute so the sauce clings before serving.
